Young & Rubicam Inc., New York, struck an agreement with market research firm Harris Interactive yesterday that will give the advertising, promotions and database marketing giant access to Harris’s research and polling services. In addition, Y&R invested an undisclosed amount of money in Harris. Included in the services Harris will let Y&R use are its data analysis technology and its Internet panel of 4.2 million people. Y&R said the pact with Harris, also based in New York, will let it measure consumer attitudes and gauge the effectiveness of its communications programs in real time.
