Dreamworks and Imagine Entertainment are in negotiations with Will Smith, Julia Roberts, Eddie Murphy and Mike Myers to create content and market the company’s entertainment net casting site Pop.com, which will launch in June. The site will feature original net programming including live pay-per-view Webcasting, and live action and animated shorts. The stars will receive both cash and stock options for the deals. Pop.com does not plan on using any banner ads on the site, instead it says it will derive profits from pay-per-view and merchandising.
