LookSmart, San Francisco, CA, an online directory and content provider, yesterday announced an alliance with Netcentives, also San Francisco, an online rewards-based incentive program provider, to develop a loyalty program around its products. The loyalty program will be used by LookSmart to reward frequent users of its site and services. Netcentives’ 2-year-old ClickRewards, its proprietary online loyalty program, is also used by clients including CDNow, E-Trade, and Macys.com.
