GoTo.com, Pasadena, CA, signed an agreement yesterday to buy online auction company Auction-Rover.com for 3.47 million shares. The purchase will allow GoTo.com to carry listings of more than 50 auction sites, including eBay, Yahoo and Amazon.com. Auction Rover, Research Triangle, NC, gives buyers a tool to search for products and services being auctioned on the Internet. The site helps auctioneers manage inventories, keeps track of multiple transactions and completes transactions.
