Charles & Colvard, Morrisville, NC, a manmade jewelry manufacturer debuted its first direct mail catalog Friday via MGC LLC, Torrance, CA, a direct mail company. The catalog, featuring two lines of jewelry, is part of an integrated $2 million advertising effort from the company formerly known as C3 that includes cable, print, and cinema advertising, as well as point of purchase materials and a redesigned Web site, www.moissanite.com, via the Kaplan Thaler Group, New York. Charles & Colvard plans to spend $6 million on advertising in 2000.
