Intimate Brands Inc., Cleveland, reported flat third-quarter earnings yesterday and a 5 percent drop in sales. The corporate parent of Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works attributed the results to weak performance at the catalog unit, “where a poor response to the spring and fall catalogs resulted in a loss of $500,000 on a 5 percent drop in sales,” according to a statement released by the company.
