Harte-Hanks Inc. agreed this week to acquire Cornerstone Integrated Services, a consultant and outsource provider of marketing and technical support to the hi-tech industry. Terms of the deal, which is expected to close this month, were not disclosed. Cornerstone, Austin, TX, will join Harte-Hanks Response Management, San Antonio, TX, which along with direct marketing and marketing services makes up the company's core businesses. Cornerstone, which specializes in the integration of a company's sales, marketing, information systems and support functions, will add post-sell technical support to Harte-Hanks existing presell services. Cornerstone also will add a core competency in high-end telenurturing, which consists of guiding the prospect up to the point of sale. Cornerstone's clients include hardware and software manufacturers like IBM, Compaq, Dell and Texas Instruments.
