Search engine Alta Vista, Palo Alto, CA, has selected Netscape’s Open Directory Project – which has grown to more than 1 million sites – as the main directory for its search service. More than 100 Internet companies and search engines are using the Directory, including America Online, Lycos, HotBot and InfoSpace.
